Year 1

At Still Hill Farm, we are dedicated to growth, both on the farm and in the community. Established 2026, the support from our community in Berkshire MA has been what helped us get started. We take a hands-on approach to everything we grow — from tapping our 100+ old sugar maples for pure maple syrup, to harvesting wild ramps from our hillside, raising chickens for fresh eggs, and growing seasonal vegetables. We combine traditional methods with a commitment to quality and sustainability on every acre.

Common Questions

Everything you want to know about Still Hill Farm

Where does your maple syrup come from?

Our maple syrup is tapped and boiled right here on our 380-acre property in Becket, MA. We have over 100 old sugar maples on our hillside. Every spring we collect sap and boil it down in our sugar shack — no additives, pure Berkshire maple syrup.

When is maple syrup season?

Maple season in the Berkshires typically runs late February through April, depending on the weather. We tap when nighttime temps are below freezing and days are above. Follow us to know when the fresh syrup is ready each year.

What are wild ramps and when can I get them?

Ramps (Allium tricoccum) are a wild native onion that grows on our hillside every spring — one of the first edible plants of the season. They have a garlicky, onion-like flavor beloved by chefs and foragers. Our hillside yields a natural harvest each spring, typically April–May.

Do you sell eggs?

Yes! We raise chickens on the farm and sell fresh farm eggs. Availability varies by season. Check our shop or contact us to find out what’s available.
